Formal presentation report

On Friday 30th of December 2010, my classmates Saoud Husain Al Bloushi (H00157343), (H00159080) and Adnan Abdulla (H00158036) made a presentation about “Renewable energy sources” at 10:15 am in J33. In this report, I am going discuss their presentation.

First of all, Saoud went through the introduction of what renewable energy means, and how many types of renewable energy we have. There was only one slide which talked about the means of renewable energy. other slide speak about how dose the energy been produce from the current. There are many types of renewable energy. Saoud mention about ocean current energy and what is the advantages and disadvantages of ocean current.

Later on, Adnan talked about solar energy. There was one slide for this point, the slide talk about solar energy work and its useful solution. After that, Adnan went through wind energy. He presented the wind energy in one slide and Adnan presented the wind energy clearly. However, he said the wind energy is useful in our environment .finally Adnan summaries what they mention on the presentation. There bibliography was in APA format, I think it was fine. The style of their presentation was very good in all.

In general the whole presentation was good .As there were no spelling or grammar mistakes. I liked how they answer the question with real example. Adnan and Saoud to improve their presentation delivery skills.

Communicative Skills

I am going to express my experience that I have found from the project I did with my friends. Over the days that have been done in the study and the implementation of the project, I made a huge cooperation with friends in the search for resources and data of the project.

That had a positive impact on me and the others as well. I learn how to work with others as a team to achieve the goal. In addition, this project helps me to improve my English language and increased my knowledge. Based on this project and the days I spent on it with my friends, I will try always to look to the problems from different eyes and share the ideas with other friends and people. I also learned that when working with others as a team it is important Work with people who share similar interests and values.

Finally I would like to thank everyone who helped me in the project and looking to provide much more effort on future projects.

semi presentation

On Dec 9th,2010 my friend Adnan Abdullah (id hoo158036)had a presentation. The presentation started at 10:45 AM in room j33. In this report I'm going to write a feedback about his presentation.

Adnan started his presentation by say hi for the students then he intoduce him self and ask about the advantage of traffic light.After that he said or as story that he saw which is about importance of traffic lights and why they invented. Also he told about how its work then he told us about the push button system that we uae it in our traffic light and about another system that we well use it in the UAE which is (sensors system).



I think that was the first presentation but it was great presention . He surprised me in this performance it was interested presentation , he show us many picture and he had a good PowerPoint slides . He had a self confidence showed by eyes contact with the students.
Another good point his sound was very clear However, he must Prepare more for the presentation and search for more information, and\he must stand near to board not in
front the board.



In conclusions the presentation was interested and he chose good topic .He was good presenter just he has to fix few point (more informaition, stand position and more practice).

My advice to Adnan is prepar better for presentation and he be good presenter.

meeting reflection

Our meeting began at 08:05 am on Tuesday, 27th of October 2010. We met to discuss student success in the college. My role in the meeting was a group member. Therefore, my job was to discuse with other members. Our group director is Sultan Al-Obaidli, another members are me, Saif Alzaabi (Time keeper) and Zaid(note taker). Our meeting started with welcoming and the attendees by the director. The goal of this meeting was to found some solutions to the problems.

Due to the well preparation, the meeting we had was nearly perfect and went smoothly. In addition, because of the well managed ideas, during the meeting we went through the points and ideas step by step from the first one until the last one. In otherhand, as nothing could be perfect, we found some areas and skills that we need to improve. For example, when we were discussing most of the points, everyone has the ame reaction by agreeing to it, in the time we needed some disagreeing to make most sides of the issue clear. Time management also is a side that we need to give an attention, which could done better by giving each point the right time.

In conclusion, I think I had a good epxerince that I have gained a benefit out of it. I had an idea about the real meetings and how to prepare for meetings, and how to speak with group members. Also I have noticed and learnt about the roles and what is each doing. One of the benefits I got is a self-confidence after having a good experience. Very last point is avoiding the mistakes I had been through to achieve the best result in future.
